We are now looking for an engaged dental hygienist who wants to make a difference

Main tasks and responsibilities

At Folktandvården Vänersborg, you will meet patients of all ages with various care needs.

As a dental hygienist with us, you play an important role in ensuring that patients feel well received and secure during their visit. You will utilize your full competence while the position also requires creativity, empathy, and a sense of service.

Your duties include, among others:

• Being an important part of the clinic's health-promoting and preventive dental care for all ages
• Conducting your own examinations and identifying, assessing, and planning appropriate oral health interventions
• Providing outreach dental care in nursing homes

We are a clinical training center and receive students from the dental and dental hygiene programs at the University of Gothenburg. Supervising/assisting students may also be part of the position.

Currently, we have one receptionist, four dental hygienists, ten dentists, and fifteen dental nurses working with us. We also have two coordinators. Qualifications and profile

• Licensed dental hygienist
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dental care
• Proficiency in the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish high school or Swedish C1 in both spoken and written forms
• Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and wisely
• Ability to present a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner
• Contribute to the development of the organization by actively participating in the clinic's improvement work

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored mentorship program during your first year. Mentoring is part of our development program, which also includes networking meetings, team and communication training, as well as observation at specialist or general dental clinics.

About the recruitment process

If you are not already employed with us, you will be contacted by a recruiter from the HR department for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for interviews at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 9-10.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in suspicion and criminal records before employment.
