We are looking for a knowledgeable dental nurse with professional pride, empathy, and a pleasant demeanor.

Main tasks and responsibilities

The clinic in Askim is state-of-the-art with generous and pleasant spaces. It is located near the sea in an expanding district of western Gothenburg. You can easily reach us by public transport or car. The clinic has more than 8000 patients, of which about half are children. In Askim, you will have 16 friendly colleagues with broad expertise who perform most tasks in general dentistry. We work according to a traditional working hours model. We are now looking for a positive and service-oriented dental nurse who is eager to work with both adults and children.

Collaboration with our clinic in Styrsö may also occur.

The position includes, among other things:

• Assisting with examinations and treatments
• Working with your own patients in prophylaxis treatments, onboarding, oral health counseling, or acclimatization treatments and outreach in nursing homes.
• Work in sterilization and reception

We are a clinical training facility and accept students from the dental and dental hygiene programs at the University of Gothenburg. Supervision/assistance of students may also be part of the position.

Competence requirements and profile

• Trained dental nurse with an education from MYH (The Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education)
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dental care
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Ability to independently manage administration
• Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and wisely
• Ability to give a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored mentoring program during your initial period. The mentoring program is part of our two-year development program for newly qualified dental nurses.

About the recruitment process

If you are not already employed with us, you will be contacted by a recruiter from the HR unit for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 9-10.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in suspicion and criminal records before employment.
