Operational Buyer for Consulting Assignment in Västerås

We are now looking for an operational buyer for a consulting assignment with a client in Västerås, within industrial manufacturing. The assignment runs until the end of the year and is fully on-site.

In this role, you will be part of the team within Production Engineering & Purchasing, where you work closely with both production and suppliers. You thrive in a daily routine that combines quick problem-solving and ad hoc work with more structured and planned purchasing activities.

About the Position

As an operational buyer, you are responsible for ensuring that materials are delivered on time and according to production planning needs. You maintain close communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders to find the best possible solutions when challenges arise.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Operational purchasing of materials according to technical specifications, price, delivery time, and terms.
• Ensure that placed orders follow the production plan and delivery times.
• Active dialogue and collaboration with suppliers and internal functions.
• Manage deviations, delivery issues, and other urgent purchasing-related matters.
• Ensure that the purchasing work follows the company's purchasing policies and processes.

Who Are You?

• Have experience in operational purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Are solution-oriented, responsible, and thrive in a dynamic daily routine.
• Are a clear team player with good collaboration skills.
• Have excellent communication skills in Swedish and English.
• Have experience with SAP.
