Do you love food and are ready for a career where people are at the center? At City Gross, everything we do is about helping and inspiring our customers to enjoy a better everyday life. Our heart beats a little extra for fresh produce, and we believe in people. We believe we become better when we have different backgrounds and experiences. Whether you are showcasing freshly harvested vegetables, cutting the perfect piece of meat, ensuring that the shelves are always well-stocked, or creating campaigns that meet our customers' needs, we are all here for one reason: to create an amazing customer experience.
About the job
Do you love food and want to help build Sweden's most affordable food market?
At City Gross, we create experiences that inspire and spark joy in cooking. Our heart beats a little extra for fresh produce, and with an extraordinary assortment, we help our customers shop smart, sustainably, and enjoyably – every day.
Here, people with different backgrounds and experiences work together, but with the same goal: to create good and inspiring customer experiences. Whether you are cutting meat with precision, baking bread, ensuring that the shelves are always well-stocked, or planning campaigns that meet our customers' needs – you are needed to help us create Sweden's most affordable food market, where customers can treat themselves to everything.
About the job
The position is: Summer temporary employment of varying sizes during the summer of 2026
Start date: As agreed
Working hours: Early mornings, late evenings, and weekends are a natural part of the job.
We welcome applicants of all ages, but due to the Work Environment Act, you must be at least 18 years old to work in the Fish & Delicacies department.
You put the finishing touch on the customer experience
You have the chance to make a significant impact on our customers' visits, so you have an important role in making the customer experience smooth and pleasant. This can mean a friendly smile, an unexpected question, or a helpful attitude, so the customer finds their way in the store. You should ensure that the customer leaves satisfied – preferably with an extra item in their bag and a good feeling!
What will you do?
Every day brings new meetings and challenges, but some of your main tasks will be:
- Ensure that customers leave the store with a smile (and perhaps an extra item or new inspiration)
- Work with customer service and sales over the counter in our manual fish and delicacies department
- Work with restocking and create a pleasant store environment with order and tidiness
- Collaborate with colleagues throughout the store – we are a team and help where needed!
Who are you?
You are a natural problem solver who enjoys a fast-paced environment. A friendly hello and an extra helping hand are second nature to you. Do you have a great interest in food and enjoy sharing tips and ideas? Great! If you have worked with fish & delicacies before or are trained as a cold kitchen chef – even better!
We believe that you:
- Have a high school diploma and are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. Since our customers speak more languages than that, it’s fantastic if you do too.
- Love meeting customers and believe that service should be genuine and engaging
- Enjoy working together and contribute energy and joy
- Are curious, solution-oriented, and see when something needs to be done and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get it done!
What do you get?
- Secure conditions – We have collective agreements with Handels and Unionen.
- Real career opportunities – There are chances to grow with us! Many of our store managers started right where you are now.
Does this sound like something for you? Submit your application – we look forward to meeting you!
