Psychologist Wanted at Adult Psychiatry in Gävleborg

Adult Psychiatry in Gävleborg is a specialist service consisting of outpatient clinics, emergency care, and inpatient care. The inpatient care in Gävle includes a general psychiatric, a psychosis care, and a forensic psychiatric department. We work in multiprofessional teams as we know that better care is achieved when we work together. We provide structured and needs-based care according to national guidelines. Collaboration occurs with our outpatient and emergency care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position is a combined role within psychosis care, which includes both inpatient and outpatient care where you will assist with assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, both individually and in groups. The assignment may also include supervision and organizational development. You will work in a team-based manner and contribute your knowledge to other team members.

As a psychologist with us, you will work with:

  • assessment
  • diagnosis
  • therapies
  • group treatment.

  • work with all psychiatric conditions that include adult psychiatry, but the main focus is on psychotic disorders
  • have the opportunity to develop both your psychologist role and collaboration between outpatient and inpatient care as a whole.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who takes initiative, works in a structured manner, and enjoys working both independently and collaboratively. The work requires a good ethical approach. The position demands high flexibility and good communication skills.

In the role of psychologist, you should:

  • be a licensed psychologist
  • have basic psychotherapeutic training in CBT.

For this position, it is advantageous if you have previous psychiatric experience, and if you have experience conducting assessments with instruments such as MINI, SCID-II, DIVA, IDA, PANSS, and WAIS.
