Experienced Alarm Technician to FMTIS Command Support Unit

The FMTIS Command Support Unit (LSE) Implementation Department in Stockholm supports the Headquarters and the Armed Forces' addresses in Stockholm regarding the operation and maintenance of command and operational systems at all readiness levels, both nationally and internationally.

To strengthen our team and capability, we are now looking for several alarm technicians. Our mission is unique and places high demands on quality, security, and integrity. Main Responsibilities

The tasks primarily consist of performing preventive and corrective maintenance work, and to some extent, commissioning and installations in technical surveillance systems. Technical surveillance systems include: burglary alarms, access control systems, CCTV, and integrated systems. Examples of systems you will handle are: Pacom Unison/Sentrion, Salto, and Milestone.

The work is varied and is mainly carried out in the Armed Forces' premises in Stockholm.

You have the opportunity to train during working hours up to 3 hours a week.

Business trips, participation in exercises, and standby duty at home may occur.

Qualifications

  • High school education with an electrical/telecommunication focus or equivalent knowledge that can be assessed as comparable.
  • Experience working with wired technical surveillance systems (burglary alarms, access control, and CCTV systems).
  • Good IT skills and computer proficiency.
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
  • Driving license B.
  • Swedish citizenship.

Meritorious

  • Experience in government/municipal operations.
  • Experience serving in the Armed Forces.
  • Military service or equivalent (e.g., GU).

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is engaged and service-oriented. You are a good teammate while also taking initiative and responsibility. You are quality-conscious, development-oriented, and have a good sense of order and planning. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability as well as interest in and understanding of alarm systems. Personal commitment weighs heavier than formal education.

Other

In the Armed Forces, the position is referred to as Telecommunications Engineer. The position is a permanent employment, with a 6-month probationary period applicable for those who are currently not employed within the Armed Forces. The position is civilian.
