Residential Support North

We are now looking for a residential support worker for Functional Support.

Your Responsibilities

As a residential support worker with us, you will primarily work in the northern part of the municipality. The position is for Residential Support North, and you will be based in Gamleby where our group facility is located.

You will belong to a work team that works with the target group of psychiatric and neuropsychiatric disabilities in adulthood.

As a residential support worker, you will work in ordinary housing, that is, in the clients' homes based on decisions according to the Social Services Act. The support that the client needs may include breaking isolation, assistance in structuring their daily life, maintaining their home, shopping, and participating in activities. The goal is for the client to be as independent as possible.

The work as a residential support worker places high demands on integrity, flexibility, and independence. A genuine interest in people and good collaboration skills are prerequisites. You also have a positive drive in your interactions with our clients. You work according to a salutogenic, activating, and motivating approach.

We want you to be secure in yourself, comfortable working with individuals in need of continuity and structure, and able to meet clients in various social contexts. The position involves working on a schedule, during the day, evenings, and weekends. In most cases, you will work independently with the client; in special cases, there will be two of you. There is access to reflection time and follow-up with colleagues. We also offer supervision.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant high school or post-secondary education, such as Social Behavior, Nursing Program, Treatment Pedagogue, or other education deemed relevant by the employer. The position requires a valid driver's license (B).

We prefer candidates with documented experience working with individuals with psychiatric and neuropsychiatric disabilities in complex life situations, as well as experience with methods for creating a structured environment and managing outwardly aggressive and self-destructive behaviors.

You are service-oriented, have good collaboration skills, and find it easy to build good relationships. You are a self-driven, flexible, and responsible person with a high level of empathy. You need to have good computer skills and be able to express yourself well in both spoken and written communication, as we have close contact with caseworkers and several external contacts.
