Tisken Väst Home Care is based in the Järnet area in central Falun. We are divided into three groups based on geographical areas where we are responsible for Järnet, Kvarnberget, and the outskirts of southwestern Falun. The positions primarily apply to Tisken Väst, but we collaborate with and assist other home care groups when we have the opportunity.

We are now in need of additional staff who want to come and work with us!

Job Responsibilities

Working as a care assistant in home care gives you a concrete opportunity to make a difference in someone else's life. As a care assistant with us, you will provide good care and support based on the approved services for our clients living in their own homes. This means assisting with personal care, meal situations, providing various service tasks, promoting social activities, and creating opportunities to maintain the client's own resources. The position also includes administrative tasks and documentation. The work as a care assistant can be physically and mentally demanding, and heavy lifting may occur.

Qualifications

The following is required for the role:

• We primarily seek those who are trained care assistants, but you may also be of interest to us if you have experience working as a nursing aide.
• Previous experience working as a care assistant/nursing aide and well-acquainted with the work; we also expect you to have good references from care and support work.
• Good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish.
• Experience using a computer and mobile phone in work.
• Driver's license (B).
• You need to be able to cycle.
• Upon starting the position, medication and insulin delegation is a requirement.

Personal Attributes

We are looking for a positive employee with interest and commitment to working with people. You need to be responsible, solution-focused, flexible, and have good collaboration skills. In home care, the phone is used as a work tool; you check in and out with clients, read, and document on a computer or phone. Therefore, it is good if you have an interest in technology or are open to learning. You should not have unmanageable allergies, as we have clients where perfume, smoking, and pets are present.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal attributes.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience working in home care.
• Experience working with dementia, geriatrics, and palliative care.
• Experience working with delegation of health and medical tasks.

Employment Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement.

The municipality of Falun applies the full-time agreement, which means that full-time is a right and part-time is an option. You must be able to work according to a fixed schedule that includes day/evening and weekend shifts. Falun Municipality has a smoke-free working time.
