Description

At Gunnilseskolan and Bergumsskolan, we are now looking for a wood and metal craft teacher for our school area 1 Nordost, primarily based at Gunnilseskolan.

At Gunnilseskolan, located by Angereds Church, approximately 185 students from grades F-6 attend. The school has an assistant principal who leads the school and two working teams: one for F-6 and one for after-school care.

At Bergumsskolan in Olofstorp, about 850 students from grades F-9 attend. The school has three assistant principals who lead the school. Teachers are organized into working teams: F-3 has two teams, 4-6 has one team, and 7-9 has three teams. The school also has a special education group for students in grades 4-9.

The school area actively works to develop good cooperation between the schools. We have joint study days and development days to increase equity in our schools.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach craft with a focus on wood and metal, for grades 3-6. The position is a permanent employment at 80% with the possibility of 100% in the future.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching at both group and individual levels. You are responsible for adapting the regular class's teaching in such a way that you meet the student where they are.

You will work with other educators, be part of the team at Gunnilseskolan, and participate in the weekly team meetings at Gunnilseskolan. Teachers and preschool teachers have a joint forum for professional development every week. Your assignment also includes teaching one day a week at Bergumsskolan.

Gunnilseskolan has a well-equipped woodwork classroom, and at Bergumsskolan, a new construction is underway that includes a new woodwork classroom.

In the school area, we work together and have a stable student health team that works closely with daily operations. We believe that all students can and want to succeed if they are given the right conditions.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach craft, focusing on wood and metal. If you have work experience in the role of a teacher, it is an advantage.

As a person, you gain energy from contributing to others' learning. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you promote a respectful working climate. The role also requires you to work collaboratively with others to perform tasks and achieve goals.

We want you to seize opportunities to think innovatively in work-related contexts, how this can be implemented in practice, and lead to improvements. You stay updated through environmental monitoring and regularly reflect on what needs to be developed in your operations.

To ensure that you, as a recent graduate, have the best possible start in your profession, you will be part of the School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction for newly graduated teachers. The introduction provides you with a network of other recent graduates and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.

Warm welcome to submit your application.
