The Care and Social Services Administration is responsible for services within elderly care and for individuals with physical and mental disabilities. We have specialist nursing assistants, nursing assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, as well as economists, investigators, and assistance officers working with us.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work with regular tasks such as personal care, social interaction, and support during meals, etc. The work includes documentation according to applicable legislation and case management.

As a specialist nursing assistant, with your advanced knowledge, you are expected to mentor your colleagues and support the BPSD work, from interaction to ethical questions. The aim is to encourage dialogue and enhance the competence of the entire workplace with the goal of enabling individuals to live as independently as possible. You will work under the direction of the unit manager and after delegation from the nurse.

We work according to a schedule and have both day and evening shifts, as well as weekend shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in working with people with cognitive impairment. You meet each individual based on their needs and wishes. You are confident in yourself and comfortable mentoring and inspiring colleagues. You are engaged in both your own development and that of the organization.

Requirements

• Trained specialist nursing assistant in dementia/cognitive impairment, as well as knowledge in BPSD & Senior Alert
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good computer skills and documentation experience

Meritorious

• Previous experience in care and social work
• Knowledge of Finnish
