Custodian Position at Arenaskolan

The position is located within the Education Administration, one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for maintenance, care, and light carpentry work at Arenaskolan. New tasks arise every day that you need to handle, and you will collaborate with all staff as well as external actors. Your coordinator role includes coordinating and following up on cleaning, being a safety representative, coordinating purchases, and maintaining good contact with the staff in our school restaurant.

As a custodian, you have a central role in the school and contribute significantly to a good working environment, both physically and psychosocially, through all good relationships. In your student coaching role, you will provide various targeted interventions and work in collaboration with the school's student health team. Many of your tasks as a custodian you will be responsible for independently and occasionally together with others. You perform your work with pride and feel a strong responsibility to keep Arenaskolan in good condition. You will use various IT systems in your daily work and find it easy to familiarize yourself with different systems.

Your Workplace

Arenaskolan is a sports school located at Bilbörsen Arena. The school has profiles in football, hockey, figure skating, swimming, dance, and multisport. Currently, approximately 550 students in grades 7-9 attend Arenaskolan.

We achieve these goals by working together, systematically, and focused on ensuring that all students experience safety and study peace, which is the foundation for students to achieve maximum learning. Who You Are

You have experience working with younger teenagers and knowledge in coaching and supporting students in need of extraordinary support. You have experience, either from school or community work, with younger teenagers.

It is advantageous if you have experience in property maintenance, upkeep, and light carpentry work. You are meticulous and quick to provide feedback when work is completed. You find it easy to collaborate with everyone, regardless of profession. You have the ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and are flexible as this is a varied job where each day is different. You have experience in coordinating and following up on various responsibilities. In your work, you find it easy to prioritize and structure your daily tasks.

You have experience working with various IT systems as well as lock and alarm systems. You possess practical and technical knowledge. A higher education degree is advantageous. You understand and can communicate with all staff, regardless of profession. You have the ability to work hard and invest time, energy, and commitment into your work. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. You often come up with new ideas and approaches to work-related issues. You have a positive attitude towards your work and the organization. You act in accordance with decisions made and relevant governing documents. You are meticulous and well aware of goals and quality standards, and you place great importance on meeting these.
