We are looking for a senior consultant in Supply Chain for a business-critical assignment with a global player in the automotive industry. The role focuses on semiconductors and electronic components and involves responsibility for identifying and managing risks in a complex, global supply chain. This assignment is suitable for you who thrive in an independent and strategic role with significant impact.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are now seeking a Senior Supply Chain Analyst for an assignment with a global player in the automotive industry. The role has a clear focus on semiconductors and electronic components and is crucial for ensuring a robust and resilient supply chain in an environment characterized by geopolitical uncertainty, rapid technological shifts, and complex global supplier flows.

The assignment involves overall responsibility for identifying, analyzing, and managing risks related to electronic supply, both proactively and reactively. You will work closely with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers and partners, serving as an important advisory and driving force in matters related to the semiconductor market, component availability, and strategic choices.

This is a key role where you are expected to take significant personal responsibility, quickly create a comprehensive picture, and independently drive the work forward in a fast-paced and complex organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitor and analyze trends, market developments, and best practices within the semiconductor and electronics industry through benchmarking of the entire supply chain
  • Collect, structure, and analyze bills of materials (BOM) for electronic control units (ECUs) and other electronic components
  • Identify short-, medium-, and long-term risks in the supply chain, for example related to obsolescence, market availability, production capacity, and geopolitical factors
  • Lead and drive risk mitigation activities in close collaboration with internal and external parties
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement and supply strategies for electronic components together with global category managers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners in the electronics field
  • Drive daily work in a structured manner and report status, risks, and recommendations to senior management
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:
  • Has several years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or supply chain-related issues in an international industrial environment
  • Has worked with or closely with electronics, semiconductors, or technically complex components
  • Has a good ability to analyze complex information and translate it into concrete conclusions and recommendations
  • Is used to working independently in senior roles with significant personal responsibility
  • Has very good communication skills in English, both spoken and written

Desirable qualifications:

  • Experience from automotive, construction, or other manufacturing industries with high volume and long product life cycles
  • Experience in risk management related to global supply chains
  • Understanding of the semiconductor market and its dynamics, including lead times and geopolitical dependencies
  • Previous work in close collaboration with global suppliers and multicultural organizations
  • Academic education in engineering, economics, supply chain, or equivalent (seen as a validation of analytical ability rather than an absolute requirement)

As a person, you are self-driven, structured, and proactive. You thrive in roles where the frameworks are not always clearly defined and where you are expected to identify both problems and solutions on your own. You are a strong network builder with the ability to create trust at various levels in the organization and function well as an advisory partner in complex issues. With a strategic perspective, high integrity, and clear drive, you contribute to stability and long-term success in a business-critical part of the organization.
