Oncology Nurse for Day Care in Västervik

With us, you will have a developing and flexible job. You will be part of a team with six nurses, doctors, and have close collaboration with our cancer rehabilitation team in the region. We work closely with patients and include relatives. The diagnoses we primarily treat are breast cancer, prostate cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, urogenital cancers, brain tumors, kidney cancer, and malignant melanoma. The treatments we provide include chemotherapy, antibody therapy, and immunotherapies. We conduct outpatient work, schedule in our own appointment books, and offer our patients telephone counseling.

We offer supervision, job shadowing, and a good introduction to help you get to know the organization, workplace, and your colleagues. At the clinic, we participate in both regional and national networks. With us, you always have the opportunity to learn something new as oncology is constantly evolving. At the clinic, we have weekly seminars where staff within the clinic give short presentations from lectures, training sessions, and quality work they have participated in. We apply flexible working hours, and the working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse with an interest in oncology care. It is an advantage if you have further education in the field of oncology, but it is not a requirement. For us, the approach is important, and we would like you to have a knack for meeting patients in various emotional states and with different needs. Putting the patient in focus is a given for us. As a person, you are calm and secure in your role. You are solution-focused and see opportunities instead of problems. You also have the ability to prioritize and make your own decisions.
