Social Pedagogue at Storsjöskolan in Holmsund
Storsjöskolan in Holmsund is conducting a targeted project in 2026 to work preventively against macho culture and to challenge and change norms.
We are now looking for an engaged and secure adult who wants to be a driving force in our work for a safer school environment and strengthened values.
As a project resource, you will work closely with a group of approximately 20 students aged 12–15, focusing on both individuals and the group. The focus is on changing negative attitudes, language, and behaviors through structured work with norms and values.
We are now looking for a social pedagogue to join our team!
Employment Type
A project employment position, full-time, starting as soon as possible by agreement until 2026-12-31.
Your main responsibilities
- Active Presence: Work relationship-building and structured with specific student groups, both in classroom settings and during breaks/leisure time.
- Values Work: Implement initiatives based on materials from, among others, the Police Museum, Friends, Bris, and Machofabriken.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the school's principal, student health services, youth centers, and social services to create a comprehensive solution for the students.
- Parental Contact: Maintain a close dialogue with the guardians of the students included in the project's focus group.
- Method Development: Participate in workshops and guidance with external experts to develop methods around empathetic communication and self-awareness.
We are looking for you who
- Are a trained social worker or have other relevant educational/behavioral science training.
- Possess the ability and interest in issues regarding equality, masculinity norms, and everyone's equal value.
- Have experience in preventive work, preferably with a focus on youth, and are confident in handling norm-breaking behavior and tough conversation climates.
- Have a good ability to establish trusting relationships with at-risk youth.
