Tuböleskolan is now seeking a social worker for the school's student health work, focusing on safety, school attendance, and preventive measures in collaboration with students, guardians, and school professionals.

YOUR ROLE

As a social worker at Tuböleskolan, you are part of the school's student health team and work closely with the school's safety team. The role also involves a leadership function in the safety team's work, where you contribute to the structure, direction, and development of the school's safety-promoting initiatives. Your assignment has a clear preventive focus and includes work related to safety, well-being, and school attendance. You contribute to the school's systematic work with mapping, documentation, and follow-up of safety, equal treatment, and work environment issues and actively participate in the school's preventive work at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

You collaborate closely with the school's various professionals and serve as an important link between students, educators, and guardians. A significant and central part of the assignment is working with guardians, where you provide parental support and collaboration in both preventive and more complex cases. You act as a bridge between home and school and work to create shared understanding, participation, and sustainable solutions regarding the student's situation.

You play an active role in addressing problematic school absenteeism and work closely with both the student and the family to strengthen the conditions for attendance and a functioning school experience. The work involves issues related to school absenteeism and attendance, where close, sustainable, and trusting collaboration with guardians is crucial. This means that you will also visit the student in their home. You are involved in Skellefteå municipality's attendance network and collaborate with other relevant partners based on the student's needs.

The assignment also includes providing guidance to other school staff. Furthermore, you work preventively in the classroom, for example, through initiatives that strengthen students' social skills and safety in the school environment. You may also participate in conducting parental education ABC as part of the school's preventive and supportive work.

To work within Education and Employment Services, you are required to provide an extract from the criminal record. You will order the extract for school and childcare from the Police (https://polisen.se/ (https://polisen.se/)).

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker and has experience working with children and youth. You have a good understanding of children's and young people's living conditions and how psychosocial factors can affect learning, well-being, and school attendance.

It is advantageous if you have experience in social work with children, youth, and/or families, for example, within schools, student health, social services, or similar fields. It is also advantageous if you have further studies or courses in pedagogy, social work, or quality development for learning. We also welcome experience working with children and youth with NPF-related issues.

As a person, you are responsible and have a strong commitment to creating a safe and inclusive school environment. You demonstrate personal maturity and have the ability to act professionally, patiently, and systematically even in difficult or pressured situations. You easily build trusting relationships and enjoy working closely with other professionals.

The work involves meetings with children, youth, and families in crisis or with complex life situations. Therefore, it is important that you can see opportunities, convey hope, and meet people with respect, sensitivity, and professionalism. You value diversity and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation can affect individuals' conditions and needs. You need to have good communication skills in Swedish and English, a B driver's license, and basic IT skills.
