Description

The Security Unit belongs to the Property, Support & Service administration and is part of the administration's secretariat function.

In our mission, we also support the Supply Administration as experts. The unit currently consists of 9 employees who work as experts in security, security protection, information security, fire safety, crisis management, continuity, and civil defense. Our administrations' mission is to support operations that have a critical and socially important function. Several of the operations we support also conduct security-sensitive activities. We use a large number of different IT systems and information volumes that enable our mission.

About the job

Our services and knowledge in security, fire safety, and risk are in demand, and we therefore need to strengthen our team with an experienced and committed information security strategist who can drive and develop our work with information security. As an employee with us, you will work in a dynamic role, where one day you work on strategic tasks and the next day you are out in the field providing operational support.

Your role will be central in anchoring information security as a natural part of our joint work and our operations, which have a very broad scope. This means that you will drive and lead knowledge dissemination across the entire organization through close collaboration and cooperation with our various operational areas. You will actively work in and can lead the different analysis steps involved in the information security work. In your role, you will also be responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with the Västra Götaland Region's overarching information security framework, including methodological support.

Your tasks will include:

• You drive and lead the implementation of information classifications, risk analyses, and requirements specifications
• Conduct continuous monitoring of new regulations related to information security, threats, and vulnerabilities, and report these to the security manager
• Contribute to the development of the administration's security strategic goals with associated risk analyses and continuity planning
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's overall work with information security
• Conduct risk analyses and security assessments of systems, processes, and suppliers

About you

We are looking for someone with relevant higher education, vocational education, or university education, or equivalent competence that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have good experience and understanding of information security work and data protection, which includes information classification and risk analyses as well as systematic information security work. You are familiar with MSB's methodological support for information security and the Data Protection Regulation.

As a person, you are stable and well-organized and act in a way that creates trust. You enjoy switching between different tasks and assignments and can reprioritize as needed. We believe that you have good analytical and pedagogical skills and contribute to a good collaborative climate. For the position, a very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, is required.

Your place of employment is at the regional house in Gothenburg or Skövde, but you will have assignments throughout the region, so travel occurs relatively often. Where possible, we use public transport for travel.
