Job Description

Due to increased demand from our clients, we are now looking for more Test Engineers to strengthen our team in Gothenburg! You will work with manual and/or automated testing of complete software and electrical integration to ensure robust system solutions within the automotive or defense industry.

As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and validation of complex systems. The work includes both xIL-based testing and verification in vehicles, focusing on ensuring functionality and safety in both software and hardware.

Your Responsibilities:

The role involves close collaboration with software developers, system engineers, and external suppliers to ensure that both functional and safety-related requirements are met. The work includes planning, execution, and documentation of test cases in both simulated environments and real vehicles. An important part of the assignment is to analyze and troubleshoot behaviors in systems, functions, and control units. Furthermore, you actively contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methods and processes.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a strong technical background and a genuine interest in testing and automotive development. You are structured, engaged, and thrive in an environment where collaboration and problem-solving are in focus.

To thrive and succeed in this role, you have:

• A degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience in vehicle testing.
• Good knowledge of tools such as SIL/HIL systems and CANoe, as well as requirements management tools.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and FlexRay.
• Experience in automation with e.g., Robot Framework, Python, and Jenkins.
• A valid driver's license and experience in test driving.

Meritorious:

• Knowledge of electrical architecture, signal handling, communication, diagnostics, and software downloading.
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and C++.
• Experience in functional safety (ISO 26262).
• Holding T1/T2/T3 test track licenses is an advantage.
• Experience with CANape and/or INCA.

As the role involves both internal and external contacts, good communication skills in Swedish and English are essential. Some assignments may also be security classified, which means you need to hold citizenship from a NATO-affiliated country.
