The Social Services Administration works based on the principle that all people we meet have the same value and are unique. Within the administration, there are IFO, LSS operations, social psychiatry, health care, home care, and special accommodations. Approximately 800 employees work around the clock for our target groups.

Job Responsibilities

As a substitute, you are employed by the Staffing Unit but work within the Social Services Administration's operations where there is the greatest need for substitutes; currently, the need is greatest in our outer areas.

You will first be introduced to one workplace, but if needed and desired, there is the opportunity to work at several workplaces. We use the staffing system Time Care Pool where you, as a substitute, make yourself available for work. We apply direct booking, which is why it is crucial that your availability is accurate. If a need arises at short notice, we will send an SMS request first.

The length of shifts varies, and working hours are both during the day, evenings, and nights. Therefore, it is important that you can work unsociable hours to be employed as a substitute.

Working in a special accommodation (SÄBO) means working with service and care around the clock, where each resident has their own room. Together with other staff or on your own, you will assist with personal care, such as dressing and undressing, help during meals, and hygiene.

Qualifications

The core of our operations is care, and a good approach is of utmost importance. You have a genuine interest in working with people and a desire to make a difference in their lives and daily routines.

The work requires that you can collaborate with others, are attentive, and behave with great respect towards those you meet in all different situations. Working with people always means that unpredictable situations can arise, and you are a person who can maintain your calm when the situation demands it. You have a respectful approach and always strive for the best possible interaction.

We are looking for someone who is of legal age, responsible, and has personal maturity. It is important that you are confident in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you are a trained nursing assistant or have previous experience in similar work.

Basic computer skills are a requirement. Working in a special accommodation may involve uncomfortable working positions and transfers, so you should have a physique that can handle this. If you have a B driver's license, it is an advantage.

Other

As a substitute at Avesta municipality, you have free access to the staff gym and 12 free swims at one of the municipality's swimming facilities each year. To ensure the quality of the recruitment process in Avesta municipality and to meet the requirements set by GDPR, we ask you to submit your application digitally and not via email or paper format. We warmly welcome your application! In preparation for the recruitment work, Avesta municipality has taken a position on recruitment channels and marketing. Therefore, we firmly request not to be contacted by media sellers, recruitment sites, and similar.
