Ersta elderly homes are part of Ersta diakoni and operate eight elderly homes in Stockholm and surrounding areas.

We are now looking for experienced summer substitutes for our homes in: 

• Enskededalen

• Farsta strand

• Älta/Nacka

• Hästhagen/Nacka

• Huddinge

• Råcksta/Bromma

• Täby

• Västerhaninge

About the role 

With us, the care for people is always at the center. As a summer substitute, you help create a safe, dignified, and meaningful everyday life for the residents. You do this by providing personal care, support, and presence, based on each individual's needs, wishes, and life situation.

You work closely with the residents in their daily lives – with everything from care and practical support to conversations, community, and small moments that make a big difference. Together with colleagues, leaders, and relatives, you contribute to an environment characterized by safety, respect, and care, where meaningful activities, pleasant meals, and nice meetings are a natural part of the day.

We are looking for summer substitutes for the period from June to August. The working hours are varied, and you need to be able to work weekdays, evenings, and some weekends, according to a rotating schedule. To be considered, you need to be able to work at least four consecutive weeks.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has a great interest in working with people, especially the elderly. You are curious, engaged, and have an easy time seeing and understanding other people's needs. You enjoy taking responsibility and find it easy to talk and collaborate with your colleagues. You have a professional attitude towards your work and are good at building trusting relationships.

Your experience 

We are looking for someone who:

• has experience working in elderly care, preferably in a care and nursing home and/or is studying to become a nurse

• is at least 18 years old

• can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

• can work in environments where there are pets, as there are animals in our elderly homes.

We would prefer that you have an ongoing or completed nursing assistant education, but it is not a requirement.
