The Adult Rehabilitation is a specialist service within Region Gävleborg with a team in Hälsingland and one in Gästrikland. Our target groups are individuals over the age of 18 who have an intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, significant and permanent cognitive impairment due to brain injury in adulthood, or congenital or early-acquired mobility impairments. The goal of our interventions is to promote daily functioning and participation for the patient. Our mission is to provide specialist rehabilitation as a complement to the basic responsibility that exists in primary care and municipalities.

There is now an opportunity to become part of our dedicated team through a temporary position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of a well-functioning team together with 14 colleagues with broad experience. The team consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, psychologists, and administrative staff. Together with psychologist colleagues and other professionals within rehabilitation, you will work with rehabilitative interventions. You will work individually and in groups, as well as collaborate with other partners in specialist care, primary care, municipalities, and authorities. As a psychologist, you will have a holistic perspective in mapping the needs and rehabilitation interventions for patients, their relatives, and other individuals in the person's environment. Active collaboration takes place between the units in Hälsingland and Gästrikland, including joint professional meetings. At the unit in Gävle, there is a psychologist who is a neuro-specialist and a doctoral psychologist who are both consultatively available.

As a psychologist with us, you will work with:

• providing information about the disability and its consequences
• leading and developing psychoeducational group interventions such as information for individuals who have recently received a diagnosis of autism, everyday conversations and communication, stress and anxiety management in relation to the disability
• assessing and diagnosing intellectual disabilities.

We operate throughout Hälsingland and have clinics in Hudiksvall, Ljusdal, Bollnäs, and Söderhamn. The position is based in Hudiksvall at our main clinic, but there is an opportunity to work from other locations in Hälsingland by agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, you must be able to independently plan and structure your work effectively and take responsibility for your tasks. You collaborate well with others, communicate, are attentive, and can handle challenges constructively. You will work together with the team to see and meet the needs within our region, so it is important that you have the ability to act and take initiative as well as achieve results. The work also involves a certain unpredictability, which means you need to be able to adjust and adapt to changing circumstances.

In the role of psychologist, you must:

• be a licensed psychologist.

As travel is part of the job, having a B driver's license may be helpful, but it is not a requirement.
