The Family Doctor Emergency Service in Gävle is part of the primary care area in Gävle. We receive patients seeking acute primary care in the evenings and on weekends. We work in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants. The service operates every day of the year, and we collaborate with a Spot-check function for triage together with the emergency department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a district nurse with us, your working hours will be divided between the Family Doctor Emergency Service's reception and the Spot-check function, where we triage our patients together with staff from the emergency department. You will often be the face of Region Gävleborg to our patients as you make an initial assessment of their condition and well-being.

As a district nurse with us, you will among other things:

• work with both planned and unplanned receptions in a team with doctors and nursing assistants
• actively participate in shaping new multiprofessional working methods based on patients' needs
• work evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who takes great personal responsibility for their work tasks and who is comfortable in their professional role. Since the work involves close collaboration with several different professional categories, you need to be communicative and receptive. As you will often be the first patient our patients meet in their care journey, we see that you have the ability to meet our patients in a professional and empathetic manner. You also consider the overall operation and have the ability to adapt in various changing situations.

As a district nurse with us, you should:

• be a licensed nurse with further education as a district nurse.

If you have previous experience in acute and/or primary care, it is an advantage for the position.
