Section Chief to the Swedish Armed Forces Central Warehouse

About the Unit

You will work at FMLOG Supply, which procures, stores, maintains, and decommissions supplies for the Armed Forces. The logistics must be efficient and ensure high availability for all types of supplies throughout Sweden, which means that production, planning, and customer support are also important parts of our work.

The Swedish Armed Forces Central Warehouse (FMCL) is part of FMLOG Supply, creating opportunities for the Armed Forces by receiving and delivering materials on time and with high quality. Through knowledge of how materials should be received, stored, maintained, delivered, and decommissioned, we contribute to making the Armed Forces' operations possible. Our attitudes and working methods are characterized by mutual trust to deliver defense logistics when and where it is needed.

Main Responsibilities

You are responsible for leading personnel responsible for analysis, follow-up, and reporting on the department's assignments. Through structured and goal-oriented leadership, you create conditions for a well-functioning and forward-looking operation. You represent the department towards our interfaces.

As the head of the Production Support section, you lead and develop the operation with a focus on actively contributing to the department's assignments and goals. You have a deep understanding of processes and ensure that the operation has the conditions to deliver efficiently with high quality and in accordance with established decisions.

As part of the department's management team, you actively contribute to the whole and collaborate closely with the department head and other section chiefs to achieve common goals. You lead the section with full personnel and work environment responsibility and work for a holistic perspective and the best interests of the department in focus.

Qualifications

  • Documented leadership experience of at least 5 years
  • Documented experience working with analysis, follow-up, and continuous improvements
  • Experience leading through change
  • Very good knowledge of the Office suite
  • Driving license B for manual transmission
  • Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written
  • High school education or equivalent

Meritorious

  • Experience in large warehouse operations
  • Experience leading remotely
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Experience with the Armed Forces' business systems in the near term
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written

Employment form: Permanent employment (full-time) starting with a 6-month probationary period.
Work location: Arboga. Travel is included in the position.
