About us

In the operating department, we provide highly specialized ophthalmic care and perform approximately 10,000 eye surgeries each year, of which 3,000 are under anesthesia. Currently, we have nine operating rooms where we perform surgeries related to cataracts, retina, plastic surgery, oncology, and strabismus, as well as corneal transplants. We perform all aspects of ophthalmic care and work with the latest technology.

We care for patients of all ages from one year and up. The most important thing for us is the patient, to maintain the highest patient safety and quality, and to work for the development of the organization.

We offer you a workplace with varied tasks and learning alongside colleagues with high competence and a focus on eye care. We work to provide the best care and treatment to our patients. You will be part of a team of about 25 people.

About the position

With us, collaboration and communication are very important, both in the operating room and in the workgroup. As a nursing assistant, you are an important resource for both the team and the patient. Together with the operating room nurse, you are responsible for preparing the operating room before and after surgery. You prepare the patient, gather instruments and other items for the procedure to be performed, set up all technical equipment, and assist with sterile setups. During the surgery, you are responsible for supplying the team with instruments and materials as well as documenting. We are a high-tech department with strict hygiene requirements, which demands accuracy and understanding of the perioperative process.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a nursing assistant and has 3 years of experience working in an operating room within ophthalmic surgery. If you have knowledge of medical technical equipment for surgery, have worked in Take Care or Orbit, that is also an advantage.

We are now looking for an engaged operating room assistant who wants to help create modern eye care with us. Provide good care, a personal approach, and maintain high quality and focus as an operating room assistant through your professionalism. You are flexible and responsible, seeing opportunities rather than obstacles. As an operating room assistant, you are used to working independently but also in a team. You adapt easily to the different situations you encounter. Your personality plays a significant role in the recruitment process, and social competence is very important to us. We would like you to engage in the development of the organization and collaborate with your colleagues to promote modern and efficient care.

Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment. A six-month probationary period may be applicable. Start date according to agreement. You will work daytime with some on-call duties during weekends and evenings.

Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
