We are now looking for a nurse for day and evening shifts, full-time.
BUP Stockholm's inpatient care consists of three wards and an emergency unit. The units provide care to children and adolescents up to 17 years old with complex psychiatric conditions who require a period of intensified care. The care is provided according to HSL and LPT and is characterized by a holistic view where psychiatric, psychological, and social factors are important for diagnosis and treatment.
Inpatient care unit 1 is a well-functioning department where both patients and staff thrive. We work together for the best interests of the patients and to collectively create a pleasant and positive workplace. We place great emphasis on continuously developing our working methods and we adapt our care according to the needs of the patients. Right now, we have many patients with severe eating disorders.
We now want to expand our stable and competent staff group and are looking for nurses who can contribute to providing our patients with the best possible care.
Job Description
As a nurse, you are a team leader and have overall responsibility for the psychiatric care of the patients. You will be the responsible nurse for 2-3 patients where you, together with the team, work collectively to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.
You will be able to use your various nursing competencies based on the patients' needs, such as conversations, assessments, and coordination. Other usual nursing tasks include sampling, certain medical tasks, and medication management. In acute situations, you are expected to lead, prioritize, and delegate.
Qualifications
You who apply must be a licensed nurse. It is an advantage if you have specialist training in psychiatry. Previous work experience in these areas is also an advantage.

You have a positive attitude, are flexible and responsible, and have an easy time collaborating and communicating. You need to have the ability to meet people in crisis and have personal maturity. To succeed in the role, you can work independently based on the existing guidelines and feel confident in leading other staff.

Employment Form
The position is a permanent full-time employment. The full-time measure for day/evening shifts is 38.25 hours/week. There is an opportunity for part-time work. Working hours are scheduled during the day from 7:15 AM to 4:15 PM and in the evening from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Weekend work is 2 weekends every 5 weeks. We also have room for flexible hours.
Other Information
Interviews will be conducted continuously. A probationary period may be applicable.

BUP inpatient care unit 1 is part of BUP Stockholm. BUP Stockholm offers specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents from 0 to 17 years within Stockholm County. We are part of the Stockholm County Healthcare Area (SLSO), which is a healthcare provider within Region Stockholm. Together, we are about 1,200 employees who meet over 22,000 children, adolescents, and their families each year. The position will be filled on the condition that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.
In patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:
- background checks are applied before employment decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
