Experienced Nurse for the Orthopedic Clinic at Danderyd Hospital
Are you an experienced nurse looking to further develop your skills in the care of our multi-sick orthopedic patients? Then the orthopedic clinic at Danderyd Hospital is the right place for you!
Within the orthopedic department at Danderyd Hospital, patients with various orthopedic diseases and injuries are treated. The clinic conducts both emergency and planned surgery for patients aged 15 and up. Here, we care for patients with everything from basic to complex fractures. Our patients are often multi-sick with high care needs, which allows our nurses to gain extensive and broad competencies. The orthopedic clinic's specialties include trauma surgery, shoulder and elbow surgeries, as well as complications after hip and knee prosthetic surgeries.
We are looking for a nurse for day/evening/weekend shifts.
Job Description
As a nurse, you will work in a team alongside doctors, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. The clinic also has care coordinators, bed coordinators, dietitians, and social workers available. You will be responsible for planning and leading the work around patients with preoperative preparations, postoperative care, pain management, advanced wound care, mobilization, and care planning together with your team.
Qualifications
- Licensed nurse
- Experience in emergency care is an advantage
- Further education in emergency care or surgery is an advantage

As an employee at Danderyd Hospital, you will receive compensation for healthcare, a wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK per year, and access to the well-equipped staff gym, Lyftet, for only 800 SEK per year. About the Department
The Orthopedic Department at Danderyd Hospital operates around the clock with over 300 employees. We provide both emergency and elective care and meet patients at our orthopedic outpatient clinic, at the orthopedic section of the hospital's emergency department, and at our two orthopedic inpatient wards. We operate in the central operating room with our own surgical staff and also conduct day orthopedic surgical operations. Our operations also include a comprehensive paramedical section.
