Occupational Therapist - New Role Focused on Early Interventions and Fair Assessments
Do you want to help build a completely new occupational therapy role in municipal primary care? Torsås Municipality now offers a unique opportunity for those who want to work in a development-oriented, preventive manner, and close to the assistance process.
The role is new and means that you, in close collaboration with case officers, will help shape the working methods from the ground up. The core of the assignment is to contribute to fair, accurate, and equitable assessments and to work with early occupational therapy interventions for individuals applying for assistance for the first time.
Here you will have great autonomy, the opportunity to influence structures and working methods – and at the same time make a real difference for the individual early in the process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an occupational therapist in this role, you will:
- Work closely with case officers in assessments related to new assistance applications
- Conduct activity and functional assessments with a focus on early interventions
- Contribute occupational therapy expertise to strengthen the individual's own resources and reduce the need for extensive interventions
- Participate in the development of new working methods, routines, and forms of collaboration
- Work preventively, supportively, and training-oriented based on the individual's goals
- Provide guidance and support to care staff as needed
- Prescribe aids and assess the need for housing adaptations when required by the assignment
You will be part of a cross-professional context together with, among others, nurses, physiotherapists, case officers, unit managers, and care staff. Collaboration and a holistic view are central parts of the assignment.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist who enjoys a role with both independent responsibility and close collaboration with other professionals. You are confident in your professional role, make your own professional assessments, and make well-founded decisions in your work.
You have a respectful and professional approach towards patients, relatives, and colleagues, and see the value of working together for the best possible results. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- License as an occupational therapist
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Driver's license (B)
Selection and interviews are ongoing, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
