ABOUT THE JOB

We are now looking for a café manager for Café Ruselegården during the high season of 2026.

The Forest and Sami Museum is a company jointly owned by Lycksele Municipality and Region Västerbotten. We have a regional responsibility to collect, preserve, and convey knowledge about forests, forest history, and Sami cultural heritage. The museum is beautifully located at Gammplatsen in Lycksele, a historic cultural environment from the 17th century. The Forest and Sami Museum is responsible for the operations in the open-air museum area with the Lycksele Local Heritage Society and the Lycksele Sami Association. Our vision is to be an obvious meeting place and a force in sustainable community development through forests and Sami culture.

The Forest and Sami Museum is looking for a café manager for Café Ruselegården located at Gammplatsen.

As the manager of Café Ruselegården, you will work with planning the operations, supervising staff and seasonal workers, purchasing, preparing snacks, food, and beverages, handling the cash register system, and other related tasks.

YOUR PROFILE

We believe you have completed a restaurant and food program or another education that the employer considers equivalent, or that you have experience in the industry. It is an advantage if you can also speak English.

To thrive in the role, you need to be able to work both independently and collaboratively. As an employee at Café Ruselegården, you are a representative of Gammplatsen and the Forest and Sami Museum. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT

Duration: Fixed-term employment during the summer season of 2026.
Scope: 75-100%
Start date: By agreement, but no later than in June.
Salary: We apply individual salaries, please state your salary expectations in your application.
