The Cardiology Clinic in Sundsvall consists of a complete cardiology operation. The care department in Sundsvall includes 28 heart monitoring places, consisting of 7 cardiac intensive care places and 21 general cardiology care places. The clinic has a complete clinical physiology section staffed by its own personnel and clinical physiologists in close collaboration with the clinics. The cardiology department participates in several clinical trials with experienced research nurses. Several doctoral projects are also underway in collaboration with Norrland University Hospital. In addition to a PCI emergency service, there is also a separate cardiology on-call line available 24/7.

We are looking for a licensed physician who wants to specialize in cardiology. As a resident, we welcome you to a pleasant community with close collaboration between cardiology and clinical physiology in an open-minded work environment where education and development are prioritized. The clinic has a large number of residents in cardiology and clinical physiology. As a resident physician, you will participate in a structured and broad educational program focusing on practical clinical skills and state-of-the-art knowledge acquisition. Clinical physiology and cardiology share a common study director.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date to be agreed upon.

Job Responsibilities

Medical work during training and supervision according to a defined training plan for residents in cardiology.

During the residency, you will have the opportunity to gradually take on increased responsibility, for example, leading rounds to a greater extent. There is also the possibility towards the end of the residency to begin subspecializing, for example, if you are interested in deepening your knowledge in heart failure, or if you want to work more with interventions in the PCI lab or implant pacemakers, there is an opportunity to try this or much more within cardiology.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed physician who wants to specialize in cardiology
• Has the qualifications to start residency training
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form

It is an advantage if you

• Have work experience as a physician, especially in clinical physiology, cardiology, or internal medicine
