We operate in four locations in the region: Sollefteå, Sundsvall, Härnösand, and Örnsköldsvik. In the Eye department, our mission is to investigate, treat, and operate on diseases of and around the eye. We also have a vision rehabilitation sub-service. Regarding Hearing Care, we are responsible for investigations and treatment of hearing impairments, habilitation and rehabilitation, as well as Interpreting services (sign language and deafblind interpreting). We are a total of about 130 employees. Within the department, we now want to develop a care navigator service primarily for eye care, and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of this. The assignments may evolve regarding tasks as well.

We are now looking for a nurse for Eye-Hearing Care. The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement.

Job Responsibilities

As a care navigator, you will contribute to:

  • ensuring that eye patients within RVN can be offered care within set time limits to a greater extent
  • simplifying for patients who need to seek further care from another provider for planned care
  • referring patients within the region if possible, as well as to our external partners and national care providers with the capacity to receive RVN's patients.
  • engaging in dialogue with patients who contact us with questions about waiting times, care guarantee issues, referrals to other providers, etc.

The work may also include some care navigator activities regarding hearing care, certain business development, etc., if conditions allow for this. You will report directly to the department manager but work closely with unit managers.
