About Us

Thoraxcentrum has a broad and varied scope of work and conducts both acute and planned activities.

The catchment area for the highly specialized care corresponds to approximately 330,000 inhabitants.

The approximately 250 employees at the clinic work in care departments, outpatient services, surgical operations, intensive care units, and radiology departments. The goal is to create individual opportunities for skill enhancement and development, as well as the opportunity to conduct research and advancement within the clinic.

Flexible hours, wellness benefits, and free access to the gym are perks offered to employees. We also actively work on evaluating our flows and patient processes to best adapt care to each individual.

Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in a state of readiness.

About the Job

The department head is responsible for the daily operations of the departments, development, staffing, and finances. You will actively participate in the Thorax management group where the clinic's current operations and future development are discussed. The leader we are looking for has the task of stimulating and developing the operations together with the employees.

At both Thorax surgery and Thorax radiology, the main work is scheduled during the day, with on-call duties in connection with acute surgeries and examinations.

The operating room nurses work in teams together with anesthetic nurses, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists. The department also has licensed nurses and nursing assistants.

At Thorax radiology, collaboration occurs with several professional categories employed and/or affiliated with Thorax radiology. Employees at Thorax radiology consist of radiology nurses and licensed nurses as well as nursing assistants. Thorax radiology is a unique department with two modern interventional labs that perform both acute and planned examinations.

The department head should work to ensure that the departments hold a prominent position in the areas where we operate. Furthermore, you should see it as natural to be visible in the operations and, through an open work climate and good collaboration, create good and sustainable relationships within the department as well as with other clinics and patients.

We offer a permanent position as department head. The employment may begin with a probationary period if there is a need for assessment.

With us, you will work in a cheerful team, where good collaboration is combined with independent tasks. We offer a stimulating and educational work environment. When you start with us, you will receive individual onboarding with experienced colleagues as support and continuous professional development.

About You

You are driven to work purposefully in a dynamic environment with a high pace and appreciate the opportunities for relationship-building and collaboration that leadership provides. You are a good ambassador for the operations, and your ability to be open to and work with improvements makes you a role model in the departments.

You build your leadership on creating mutual trust with employees while not being afraid to delegate or make decisions when necessary. You have the art of motivating others, and your ability to 'see the whole picture' rubs off on the employees. You share and stand up for Region Blekinge's values and goals.

We are looking for someone with experience as a manager and who has a genuine interest in best managing the responsibilities and opportunities that come with the role. If you have broadened your experience with leadership training, that is valuable. If you are also a licensed nurse with work experience from healthcare, preferably from radiology or surgical nursing, that is an advantage.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

We look forward to welcoming you as a manager with us.
