District Veterinarians are looking for Animal Caretaker Level 3 or Licensed Veterinary Nurse

Are you ready to work in a community-supporting organization? Do you enjoy working in a team, are service-oriented, and have experience in anesthesia?

To ensure that all animals in Sweden have the opportunity to live the best life possible, there are District Veterinarians. With round-the-clock readiness, clinics across the country, and unique knowledge of animal health, we contribute to healthier animals and a safer life. As district veterinarians, we work on behalf of private individuals, companies, and authorities. We offer community-supporting services for emergency veterinary care, disease control, and preventive measures for good animal health. Always with our feet on the ground and our hearts in the right place. District Veterinarians are part of the Swedish Board of Agriculture.

We are now looking for an Animal Caretaker Level 3 or a Licensed Veterinary Nurse for our clinic in Vimmerby.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Animal Caretaker Level 3 with us, you will work inside our small animal clinic staffed by veterinarians and nurses Monday to Friday. You will primarily work clinically, both independently and together with a veterinarian or another colleague. Anesthesia is an important part of the work with patients in both dentistry and surgery. Job responsibilities may also include staffing the reception, answering phone calls with advice and appointment bookings, feed advice, and sales. Other clinic tasks such as hygiene, instrument and facility maintenance, as well as administrative tasks are included in the daily work.

You will be working with other experienced colleagues where our combined expertise creates the best possible care.

In our practical area, we have two small animal clinics (one in Vimmerby and one in Västervik) that closely collaborate with partly the same staff. We have about 10 veterinarians, 5 licensed veterinary nurses, and 6 animal caretakers. Our clinics are equipped with X-ray, ultrasound, and dental equipment, and in addition to outpatient care, we also perform some surgeries and dental procedures. In Vimmerby, we also have a small equine clinic where we can receive horses for castrations, dental procedures, gynecological examinations, etc. Our district covers a large part of northern Småland.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained Animal Caretaker Level 3 or a licensed veterinary nurse. You are a person with drive and commitment and enjoy working in a team. You have good communication skills and are service-oriented both towards customers and your colleagues.
