Work as a Nurse at ASIH Stockholm Södra

Do you want to work independently with a wonderful team in a changing environment? Now is your chance to work as a nurse with us at ASIH Stockholm Södra!

ASIH Stockholm Södra is one of two region-driven ASIH operations. We have about 180 employees distributed across our five ASIH teams and our specialized palliative inpatient care unit with 24 beds. Three of the teams are located in Solberga and the other two teams are located in Handen and Nacka. Our care is person-centered, and our values are based on patient meetings, participation, employee engagement, close leadership, and job satisfaction. We work in multiprofessional teams; doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, dietitians, social workers, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. Together, we have a working method that promotes good quality and high safety for both patients, relatives, and employees.

In our teams, we care for severely ill patients aged 18 and older in their homes. We do not perform basic care; this is managed by the patient themselves, home care, or relatives. Our mission is to ensure that patients and relatives receive support during tough treatments, chronic illnesses, and good care at the end of life. We administer blood transfusions, intravenous antibiotics, injections, disconnect chemotherapy pumps, take blood samples, manage infusion pumps, administer infusions, handle central lines, various types of drains, and provide symptom relief at the end of life. Care is provided in the patient's own home to enable the best possible quality of life for both the patient and their relatives.

Employment Type:

Temporary part-time or full-time position. Our full-time measure is 38.15 hours/week. The work involves shifts during the day, evening, and weekends. There is flexibility regarding scheduling and the possibility of a flexible working degree. Please specify which of our teams you are applying to; Solberga, Nacka, or Handen.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who wants to work with advanced home healthcare and who can see, listen to the patient's individual wishes, and meet patients and relatives in difficult situations. You must be a licensed nurse, preferably with further education in palliative care, oncology, or as a district nurse, but we also welcome those with basic training. Meeting severely ill patients and their relatives requires personal maturity and confidence in your professional role. Therefore, we believe that you have worked a few years as a nurse. Many of our patients have backgrounds from other countries, so we also appreciate applicants with that experience. You are welcome to speak multiple languages but need to have knowledge of Swedish equivalent to at least level C1. A Swedish driver's license is required.

Are you curious? Contact us, and we will arrange for a job shadowing for one or two days.

Warm welcome to submit your application! The position will be filled provided it is not needed for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.

For patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:

  • background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
  • in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.

Stockholm County Healthcare Area (SLSO) is one of Sweden's largest healthcare providers with 11,600 employees. We offer healthcare within the Region Stockholm's framework in psychiatry, primary care, geriatrics, ASIH, urgent care, somatic specialist care, rehabilitation, and health as well as assistive devices.
