Our Job Offer

We are looking for you, a nurse with a strong interest in postoperative care, to join our exciting operation that runs around the clock.

We have varied and diverse tasks in the postoperative unit at Danderyd Hospital. Care is provided in teamwork with nursing assistants and doctors. You will work closely with nurses and nursing assistants who rotate between the intensive care unit/anesthesia department and postoperative care. In the postoperative unit, patients from surgery, urology, orthopedics, and gynecology are cared for. The operation is both elective and acute.

We are in a development phase where we actively work to improve care and our working methods. Here, you have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in various development areas such as leadership, pain management, and various quality projects.

As part of your development, after a couple of years, you will have priority for paid specialist training in intensive care or anesthesia.

Employment Type

Permanent employment, three shifts. Full-time or part-time.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience as a nurse in acute care.

Experience and education in postoperative care is an advantage.

Formal supervisor training is also an advantage.

About the Operation

The area of Anesthesia and Intensive Care is characterized by high quality and a stable workforce in all professions. In addition to anesthesia, which consists of four operating rooms in surgery/urology, orthopedics, gynecology/obstetrics, day surgery, as well as ENT and dental anesthesia and external operations, the area also includes postoperative wards, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Pain Clinic, National Respiratory Center (NRC), and Sterile Technology. We are a large operational area with approximately 400 employees. Annually, about 24,000 anesthetics are performed in about 25 operating rooms. Our mission also includes education, clinical research, and development.
