We are now looking for an occupational therapist for habilitation for children and youth. The position is a permanent position starting as agreed. We are in an exciting development and establishment phase to meet the needs of children and youth in Region Kronoberg for habilitation. This has resulted in new innovative working methods! JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an occupational therapist in the habilitation for children and youth, you will meet children and young people with permanent disabilities and their families. You will work closely with each child and youth to strengthen participation, independence, and security in everyday life based on individual needs and conditions.

In your work, you will assess and evaluate activity ability and plan interventions together with the child, youth, and family that create functioning structures and routines in everyday life. You will actively work with areas such as time perception, energy management, activity balance, and participation. You will prescribe, trial, and follow up on cognitive aids and, if necessary, also physical aids, focusing on making a real difference in everyday life.

You will work both independently and closely with other professionals in a multidisciplinary team. Together, we meet the children where they are, primarily at the habilitation's reception but also, if necessary, in the child's or youth's everyday environments such as home and school. Collaboration with guardians and other important people around the child is a natural and important part of your work.

We hope you want to be part of an engaged team with a social worker, special educator, speech therapist, psychologist, physiotherapist, nurse, and doctor. Together, we work to support the child's development and contribute to increased quality of life.

As a new occupational therapist with us, we provide you with a safe start through introduction and ongoing supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed occupational therapist. If you have previously worked with children/youth with disabilities, it is an advantage. The position involves some travel, which requires you to have a driver's license.

As a person, we see that you are stable and can handle stress constructively. Furthermore, you are collaborative, adaptable, and have an unpretentious focus on the common goal. To thrive in the role, you also need to be structured, solution-oriented, and able to quickly find solutions to emerging problems. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Before an offer of employment, an acceptable extract from the police's criminal record must be presented.
