The Medicine Clinic is one of the largest and most versatile clinics in Region Kronoberg. Here we offer both outpatient and inpatient specialized care in internal medicine, as well as other internal medical specialties such as neurology, rheumatology, and allergology. The Medicine Clinic in Ljungby has a catchment area of approximately 52,000 residents, and our emergency department is open around the clock.

The position is located at Ljungby Hospital, which is a smaller acute hospital. Working at a smaller hospital has several advantages, including proximity between colleagues and close collaboration across clinic boundaries. We always work with the patient in focus and strive to provide the best possible care to our residents. There is a good collaborative climate here where the advantages of the small clinic are utilized. Communication with other clinics is easy, and decision-making paths are short.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a temporary assistant doctor at the medicine clinic, you are an important and appreciated resource primarily in our care departments and the emergency department, and in some cases also in outpatient clinics. Your work on the ward consists of, among other things, rounds, discharges, and admissions, and in the emergency department, you will handle patients with the support of a licensed supervisor. You will be assigned a personal supervisor from day one, and we focus a lot on giving you a good introduction to working as a doctor in the region in general and as an assistant doctor with us in particular.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a medical degree. Experience from previous temporary positions as an assistant doctor and/or in a medicine clinic is seen as a positive asset. Having a medical license is meritorious but not a requirement.

As a person, you have a good attitude, good collaboration skills, and are flexible. You always work with the patient in focus. Furthermore, you have good communication skills and very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
