A Day as a Temporary Worker in Care and Support

Working in care and support is varied and enjoyable. The job involves supporting individuals in their daily lives. Your tasks may vary depending on which area you choose to work in and who you are helping.

As a temporary worker in Krokom, you will be employed in the Staffing Pool. You choose the area and workplaces in consultation with us in the pool, and then we will book you for an introduction. Once the introduction is completed and approved, you can be booked for work. More information about the introduction and the systems we use will be provided when we invite you for an interview.

The areas we staff are

• Home Care: Föllinge, Offerdal, Nälden, Krokom, Ås, and Night Patrol
• Special Housing: Blomtergården in Krokom, Hällebo in Offerdal, and Solbacka in Föllinge
• Support and Service: Group homes, service apartments, daily activities, and personal assistance

The most common tasks can be divided into four categories:

• Assisting in the home environment: such as cleaning, laundry, making beds, shopping, and cooking.
• Personal care: assisting with showering and toilet visits, dressing, nail trimming, shaving, or helping during meals.
• Activities: Your role also includes performing various activities for those you help. Some individuals have planned activities that you ensure they attend, while sometimes it can be your own ideas, such as organizing a celebration, a movie night, or going for a walk.
• Medical tasks: such as checking blood pressure, applying bandages, or administering medication. This is a task you receive only after working for a while and undergoing certain training.

• Driver's license (B) to work in home care and certain workplaces within support and service
• You must be at least 18 years old to be employed in the Staffing Pool
