We are now looking for a Technical Project Manager who wants to play a key role in our continued development. At Aston Harald Mekaniska Verkstad, you will work in a team with high competence, short decision-making paths, and genuine commitment.

About the role

As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead and drive investment and development projects within the factory to streamline and future-proof the production capacity of the business - both for existing production and for new business areas. You will be responsible for structuring, planning, and implementing technical change initiatives in close collaboration with management, production technology, production, and maintenance.

Your main responsibilities

• Plan and execute investment projects, e.g., new machinery, renovations, or layout changes.
• Lead technical development projects related to production methods, digitization, automation, and efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate the project's resources, timeline, budget, and documentation.
• Conduct requirements gathering, feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and procurement in collaboration with management, production technology, purchasing, and production.
• Ensure that projects are delivered according to specifications, within budget, and are operational on time.
• Participate in follow-up, documentation, and training efforts related to new systems or equipment.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• A technical education in mechanical engineering, industrial economics, production technology, or automation.
• Experience leading investment or development projects within the manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of project management (Gantt, risk analysis, budget, deviations).
• Good technical understanding of machinery, automation, tools, and production flows.
• Understanding and experience of LEAN methodology.
• Good Swedish and English skills, both spoken and written.
• Experience working in business systems.

• Structured and independent project manager with good prioritization skills.
• High technical curiosity and a desire to drive change.
• Strong communication skills – experienced in leading cross-functional teams.
• Results-oriented and driven, with the ability to make decisions even under uncertainty.
• Understanding of both details and the big picture in a production operation.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• The ability to collaborate effectively internally and externally.

Aston Harald Mekaniska Verkstad is a machining company focused on machining, qualified welding, assembly, and inspection of heavy and medium-heavy components and complete systems. We serve sectors such as Defence, Marine, Industrial Machines, and Aerospace.

Additional information:

The work is mainly carried out at our production unit in Kristinehamn. Travel may occur in the course of work.
