Varvet is three units under one roof. By the quay, we have our Bistro/café, offering street food from the farmer, from the garden, and from the sea, and of course, in a summer town, we have a section called cold as ice. Where are we located? In Norra Hamnen by the quay and right in the center square of Strömstad.

Street food can be hectic at certain times of the day. We prepare the food after the guest has ordered. Here, clear communication with colleagues is essential. This makes the work shift much easier. Having a sense of logistics and organization is a significant advantage as it is important to stay one step ahead in all preparations. We are looking for someone who has either worked in service and cash handling before or someone who believes they would be a perfect fit for this role. You must enjoy working in a team, have a high tolerance for stress, and be at least 18 years old. Naturally, you should feel that you are there for the guest, be cheerful and positive regardless of the situation. Have an understanding of waste, self-control, and restaurant economics.

Cold as ice is our ice cream section, which can be stressful, especially on sunny summer days. Good logistical skills are required here. It is extra important to stay one or two steps ahead in planning preparations. Since the days can become hectic with a fast pace, it is important that everyone is on board with teamwork. It is also important that you are stress-resistant. The requirement is that you master Swedish and Norwegian in speech since all tasks involve customer contact. We work with station division in all departments, but of course, we help each other.

The period applies to the summer season 2026, from June 15 to August 9.
