The Role of the Care Assistant

At the emergency department, you will work with colleagues on phone counseling, assessment, and prioritization of emergency patients. The psychiatric care team operates with high availability in the patient's daily life, and the tasks today consist of assessments via phone or home visits. The teams have a large network of contacts, both within the clinic and the hospital, as well as externally with, for example, ambulances, police, and social services. An important part of the work is to maintain a good level of service for patients and partners.

The Psychiatric Clinic in Jönköping is one of the largest clinics in the region, offering both outpatient and inpatient care within specialist psychiatry. The operation has seven outpatient clinics, five care departments, an administrative unit, and a psychiatric emergency department that provides emergency assessments around the clock. The clinic offers psychiatric specialist care for residents over 18 years old. Parts of the clinic also serve as a regional resource responsible for psychiatric intensive care, addiction treatment, forensic psychiatry, and on-call operations where we handle urgent cases within both adult psychiatric and child and adolescent psychiatric clinics.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a trained care assistant/nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on psychiatry. We also appreciate if you have experience working in psychiatric care.

We work together for the best interest of the patient, making our teamwork essential. It is also important that you, as an employee, are secure and stable with good self-awareness. You take responsibility for your tasks and organize and prioritize your work effectively, as well as adapt easily to changing circumstances. Personal suitability is highly valued. Since travel is required in the position, a valid driver's license (category B) is necessary.
