Property Technician in Karlsborg
Fortifikationsverket is looking for a property technician in Karlsborg. Fortifikationsverket is a government agency, and our mission is to ensure that there are secure properties and roads to protect Sweden in the event of a crisis or war. Our tenants are the Armed Forces and various state and defense-related authorities. Our property portfolio is broad and consists of many different types of properties and training and shooting ranges.
Where will you work and what will you do?
The Karlsborg district is part of Fortifikationsverket's property department and is primarily responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of the properties owned by the agency in the area. Karlsborg belongs to Region Väst, which also includes the other districts of Skövde and Såtenäs. This position belongs to the Roads, Land, and Park department.
The department currently consists of four property technicians responsible for the external maintenance of Karlsborg Fortress. A large part of the tasks involves park maintenance at the Fortress and its surroundings, as well as snow removal and road maintenance. We collaborate with other employees in the Karlsborg district, including the operations technicians.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with at least a high school diploma. We want you to have a driver's license for a wheel loader and experience in park maintenance. You must have a good command of Swedish, both spoken and written. You should be able to work with administrative support systems in a PC environment. A B driver's license is a requirement for the position, as well as Swedish citizenship.
It is an advantage if you have gardening/property maintenance education, brush cutter certification, and chainsaw certification. Experience working in a security-classified environment and its buildings and surroundings is also a merit.

About the employment
The position is a permanent employment that may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a war position. The place of employment is Karlsborg. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security review with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
