Markverkstad Skövde is a department within the Markverkstadsenheten (MvE) belonging to the Army Staff. Mv Skövde has about 200 employees and operates in Skövde and Kristinehamn.

The workshop performs maintenance on the Armed Forces' ground equipment and provides technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of inspections, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scrapping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and material investigation.

Main Responsibilities

As a telecommunications technician at the workshop, you will perform functionality checks, troubleshooting, and repairs on the Armed Forces' communication equipment. Responsibilities include maintenance of soldier-carried and vehicle-mounted telecommunication, radio, and command systems used within our ground units. Many tasks, both troubleshooting and repairs, take place in a computer/network environment in our tele workshop. However, there will also be tasks and assignments on-site with our units or at other locations under simpler field conditions.

REQUIREMENTS Qualifications

• We are looking for someone who has at least completed a two- or three-year upper secondary school program with a focus on electrical/telecommunications/technology, or equivalent competence acquired through work experience deemed relevant by the employer.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
• Good computer skills.
• Class B driver's license.

• Documented experience in configuration/troubleshooting of computers and networks.
• Documented experience in troubleshooting/repair within electrical/electronics.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of the Armed Forces' telecommunication/radio/command systems.
• Class C driver's license.
• Military driving license.

Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a 6-month probationary period.
