About our open position

We are a group of 20 doctors working within the emergency care department (VO) and are now looking for you who want to become part of our team as a resident physician and participate in the development of emergency care at SÄS.

The medical group also drives development in improvement projects and has regular training both independently and in collaboration with other units. As a resident physician, you will receive good supervision and continuous feedback to advance your development as an emergency physician.

The emergency care department also includes ambulance services, which provide excellent opportunities for collaboration and development of prehospital care. After gaining some experience, you will also have the opportunity to be part of the Mobile Emergency Physician Team (MALT).

The emergency physicians currently staff every day of the week from 07:30 to 21:30. Plans are in place to staff during the night as well.

About us

The VO emergency care includes the emergency department and ambulance services. The emergency department at Södra Älvsborg Hospital in Borås is a large workplace with about 120 employees and approximately 60,000 visitors each year. We currently handle acutely ill patients in medicine, surgery, infection, orthopedics, and neurology. Our nurses also care for patients in ENT and ophthalmology. These patients are currently assessed by doctors from their respective departments.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a Swedish medical license and proficiency in Swedish at level C1. We place great emphasis on your communication and collaboration skills. Furthermore, we expect you to have a desire to contribute to the effective development of our operations and to maintain a positive work environment in our units. Personal suitability will be highly valued.

We prefer candidates with more extensive experience in the profession. Additionally, it is an advantage if you are a previous specialist and wish to obtain a double specialty.
