Do you want to work offshore in Norway on some of the country's most safety-critical and technologically advanced oil rigs? We are now looking for 4–8 mechanics/pipe fitters for temporary projects starting during weeks 18–21.
This is a position for you who thrive in an intense work environment, have a strong safety mindset, and want to contribute your technical expertise to projects where quality, precision, and reliability are crucial.
About the Assignment
You will work as a subcontractor for a larger mechanical company in Norway, focusing on mechanical maintenance and repairs on oil rigs (offshore). The work mainly consists of:
Responsibilities
- Dismantling, assembly, service, and repairs of valves
- Pipe fitting and work with flange connections according to EN 1591-4
- Torque tightening and working with torque wrenches
- Working with hydraulic tensioning tools, e.g., Hytorc
- Gasket replacements and leak testing
- Working with pressurized equipment under very high safety levels
Working Hours and Conditions
- 14-day work period, 7 days/week
- 12-hour shifts (07:00–19:00 or night 19:00–07:00)
- Overtime may occur
- Travel to Norway by plane included
- Transport to the rig by helicopter
- Work time starts at the helipad
- Food and accommodation on the platform included
- Salary according to Svemek collective agreement
Project Periods
- Week 18–19
- Week 19
- Week 20–21
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Mechanical/technical background (industry, energy, petrochemicals, steel, paper mills, or similar)
- Experience in pipe fitting and flange work
- Good knowledge of valves and mechanical maintenance
- Able to work safely with pressurized systems
- GSK Basic Safety Course (offshore)
- EN 1591-4 Flange Connections / Trekker Course
- Language skills in Swedish, Norwegian, or English
Meritorious:
- Experience offshore
- Hytorc or other hydraulic tensioning tools
- Rigging Course Module 0–2.2 & 0–3.2
- Background in industrial pipe fitting, mechanics, or welding assembly

- Motivated to work long shifts during intense periods
Other
- The work requires good physical condition and mental endurance
- You must be willing and able to work 14 consecutive days, at least 12 hours a day
- You will work in a team with other Swedish and Norwegian technicians
- Previous experience in similar work is a requirement
