YOUR ROLE

As a sports facility technician, you will have a varied and practical job where you are responsible for the maintenance and operation of sports facilities and recreational areas in Skellefteå municipality, ensuring they are of high quality and ready for both organized and spontaneous activities. The work is scheduled and includes day, evening, and weekend shifts year-round.

Since a large part of the work takes place outdoors in all types of weather, it is important that you enjoy working in a dynamic environment.

You will also be part of the municipality's investment in community development through inclusion. This means that you actively work to increase equality and gender equality for children and young people's opportunities for movement and sports, with the aim of promoting public health. You help create spaces that are easily accessible for everyday movement, meetings, and self-organized sports. Through participation in community planning, you contribute to developing environments that inspire activity and joy of movement – and you dare to think outside the box.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

A background in the child and leisure program with a focus on leisure or the vehicle program is advantageous. Experience from the association life and practical tasks such as maintenance, simple repairs, and upkeep is a big plus. You need to have a B driver's license, and it is beneficial if you have a driving license/professional certificate for a wheel loader. We believe that digitalization opens new opportunities – therefore, we appreciate if you have an interest and some experience with digital tools.

To succeed in this role, you need to have good physical ability and a solution-oriented mindset. You are responsible, flexible, and see opportunities in changes. We value your interest in learning new things and developing in your professional role. Your ability to collaborate and communicate makes you function well in a team and build good relationships with colleagues and customers.
