JOB DESCRIPTION

As an operations technician at Renova, you will be offered a varied job in an innovative workplace where technology, practice, and research meet. Do you have experience or education in power and heat and a desire to learn and develop? Then you are the right person for us!

Your tasks will vary between control room work and work out in the facility. You will work with monitoring/control and maintenance of our process plants, steam boilers, flue gas cleaning, water treatment, compressors, and pumps. Daily work often consists of new challenges and is carried out in collaboration with colleagues from different operations. You will be offered continuous development, training, and the opportunity to grow as an operations technician. The work is conducted in 12-hour shifts, 24 - 7.

Renova's waste-to-energy plant in Gothenburg is one of the most efficient in the world. Here, we handle up to 550,000 tons of combustible waste each year while producing electricity and heat. Currently, several development projects are underway, including fine-tuning our world-unique zinc recycling facility and modernizing flue gas cleaning.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in engineering, operational machinist or operational technician education with a focus on power/heat or other relevant technical education.
• Good computer skills in the Office package.
• Ability to speak, understand, and write Swedish at an independent level.
• Experience from process, heat, or waste-to-energy plants is an advantage.

We want you to have the ability to work both independently and in a team. Close collaboration with your colleagues is important. Therefore, we want you to be unpretentious, attentive, and have very good communication and collaboration skills. Furthermore, you are responsible, solution-oriented, and have an interest in new technology. You are interested in working with development issues and are happy to contribute your ideas in the work with continuous improvements. You can communicate independently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Of course, you have an interest in environmental issues!
