At the Surgical Clinic of Östersund Hospital, which is the only one in the region, we meet patients in the areas of upper and lower gastrointestinal, breast, endocrine, plastic and vascular surgery, trauma and emergency surgical care, as well as urology, oncology, and palliative care. The clinic consists of 4 inpatient wards and 5 outpatient clinics.

We offer a work environment characterized by collaboration, participation, and commitment, where both breadth and specialized skills are utilized.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Regular duties as a junior doctor on the care ward.
  • Work in the emergency department during the day/on-call.
  • Administrative tasks, e.g., signing and following up on lab and imaging results as well as prescription writing.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a medical degree or have completed at least term 9 of the medical program in Sweden, with approved courses and exams so that we can employ you under a temporary appointment as a non-licensed junior doctor according to the regulations of the National Board of Health and Welfare.

You have Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale.

Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities, such as your ability to create a supportive relationship with patients and relatives, and your ease in collaborating within a team as well as with other involved colleagues in the hospital, primary care, and municipal care.
