Luleå Tourist Center is Luleå's first contact point for visitors from around the world – a place where curiosity meets knowledge, hospitality, and genuine local pride.

We are located in the Cultural House, right in the heart of Luleå, offering current, independent, and inspiring information about the city's offerings, nature experiences, events, and cultural environments. Here, visitors receive maps, tips, and personal service, along with the opportunity to discover local profile products in our shop.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The main tasks of the tourist informant are to welcome and inform Luleå's visitors. We assist them in experiencing Luleå's range of activities, attractions, restaurants, shops, accommodation options, and events.

In our location at the Cultural House, we meet over 30,000 visitors per year, but we also assist visitors via phone and email. We also provide information about other parts of Swedish Lapland as Luleå is often a starting point for further travels in the region. The Tourist Center administers and rents out the municipality's archipelago cottages and has a special focus on archipelago issues during the summer.

The work includes cash handling and sales of souvenirs among other things. Administrative tasks and cash management are also part of the role.

Working hours are daytime, Monday to Saturday according to a schedule.

The employment period is from 2026-06-08 to 2026-08-08 or from 2026-06-15 to 2026-08-15.

QUALIFICATIONS

Luleå Tourist Center is looking for someone with a strong sense of service and hospitality, as well as good local knowledge of Luleå and its surroundings. You should be passionate about promoting Luleå as a travel destination.

A pleasant customer interaction is a given for us. Collaboration skills, stress resistance, and flexibility are personal qualities that we highly value.

A high school diploma is required. Previous work in tourist information, similar roles in the tourism industry, or other service professions is an advantage. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required; additional language skills are a plus. A B driver's license is desired.
