At Norlandia Elderly Care, we are looking for you who are a nursing assistant/care assistant and want to work full-time/part-time throughout or parts of the summer at Sätraåsen elderly home in Gävle. As a nursing assistant/care assistant, you are a valuable key player who contributes to ensuring that our residents have a safe and meaningful existence in their later years. We always start from the resident's will and own ability and focus on the healthy aspects. As a nursing assistant/care assistant, you are responsible for providing dignified and good care based on the elderly person's individual needs. Typical tasks may include assistance with daily care, medication administration, documentation, support during activities, meal serving, and light cleaning in the residents' apartments. You will be involved in everything from educational care moments to enjoyable activities with the residents. A very exciting job, simply put!

Sätraåsen elderly home is located in the Sätra district, near Gävle trotting track. The facility has 72 apartments, half of which are focused on dementia care and half on somatic care. Bus line three stops outside Prolympia, which serves the facility. The home has a large garden and several opportunities for enjoyable activities with our residents.

As a summer substitute with us, you will have access to Cappy – a smart app that gives you an overview of your working hours and salary. In the app, you can see your worked hours, earned salary, preliminary salary payment, information about available shifts, and how much you can earn on an extra shift. With Cappy, there is also the possibility to withdraw part of your earned salary for extra shifts/hourly shifts immediately after completing a shift.

We are looking for someone with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We hope you enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. You should also be able to collaborate easily with others and have the ability to be flexible and attentive when needed.

• It is an advantage if you have a nursing assistant education (or equivalent education) of at least 1350 points.

• It is highly meritorious if you have previous experience in elderly care.

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.

• We would also like you to have good computer skills and experience with documentation.

Scope: Full-time, part-time, or hourly employment

Start date: June, July, and August 2026

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a possible employment, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record. You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
