Create audio ads that resonate. Make people laugh. Or at least raise eyebrows.
At Nordblom Media, we are an inventive and appropriately sized audio agency based in Ljungskile. We work with both small and large corporate clients, producing audio ads, jingles, and radio spots that are broadcast on radio stations and podcast networks throughout the Nordics. In addition to audio productions, we also program some websites.
We are now looking for reinforcement in the form of a podcast and radio advertising producer – a creative, relationship-driven coordinator who enjoys keeping everything together and takes great pride in delivery and customer satisfaction.
The role in brief
- The focus is on relationships, wholeness, and trust – not on technology for technology's sake.
- You are involved all the way: from brief, idea, and script to the final delivery of audio production.
- This is primarily a coordinating and communicative role that also includes audio production, not the other way around.
With us, the job quickly shifts between people and details. One moment you are talking to a client, figuring out what is actually needed, the next you are adjusting the volume of music, effects, and tonality until it clicks.
The role suits you if you enjoy keeping threads together – someone who not only likes the idea stage but also takes responsibility for ensuring that things are delivered and land correctly with the client. – “A strategic doer, simply put.”
We do not believe in perfection to the absurd. We believe in good ideas, thoughtful decisions, and meeting deadlines – even when there are headwinds and uphill battles.
Job responsibilities
(or: what you will actually do during the days)
The tasks are varied and creative, and may include:
- Maintaining ongoing contact with clients via phone and digital meetings (and being able to determine when a call is better than yet another email).
- Writing scripts and developing thoughtful concepts for campaigns.
- Brainstorming ideas, angles, and tonalities with colleagues.
- Being involved in producing finished audio productions – from script to final production with music, sound, and voice-over, focusing on wholeness and delivery rather than detailed studio depth.
- Searching for suitable music and effects for jingles or, if you can't find anything that fits, recording or creating your own solutions.
- Participating in digital meetings with clients and partners.
Tools and methods
We are happy to use new tools and methods, including AI.
When it comes to audio production, we are quite relaxed about exactly which programs you know today. Our experience is that tools can be learned – especially if you are curious, attentive, and have a good ear for sound. For us, it is more important that you understand context, tonality, and what the end result should feel like, rather than that you happen to know all the menus by heart.
If you have worked with any form of audio editing before, that is of course a plus, whether it has been in GarageBand, Pro Tools, Studio One, or any other common DAW.
We view AI in the same way: as a tool among others. Sometimes a very good one, sometimes a completely wrong tool. It is always your judgment, creativity, and relationship with the client that determines when AI actually adds value – and when it is better to do things differently.
Who we think you are
(and perhaps more importantly: what drives you in everyday life)
- You are socially competent and comfortable meeting many different types of people.
- You can switch between listening, driving, and advising depending on the situation.
- You easily build trust and enjoy taking responsibility for relationships and projects.
- You are creative and enjoy coming up with ideas and concepts that engage.
- You can reason about target audience, personas, messages, and tonality.
- You have a sense for business opportunities and are happy to contribute ideas on how we can develop what we do, reach more customers, or create new types of assignments.
It is an extra plus if you have a passion or are passionate about something outside of work – something that allows you to sometimes completely shut down work thoughts and reminds you that the world keeps spinning even without jingles. We believe that balance between work and leisure is not a cliché but a prerequisite for being able to keep many threads in the air without them eventually getting tangled.
Qualifications
Language requirements
- Swedish – fluent in speech and writing
- English – very good knowledge in speech and writing
Meritorious (but not required)
- Experience in project management
- Experience in audio editing
- Experience in sales or customer engagement
- Experience in script and copywriting
Work format
We believe in meeting in person sometimes. Therefore, we have office days a few days a week, where we work together from our office, bounce ideas, and solve things faster over a cup of coffee than in a meeting booking tool.
At the same time, the role is a hybrid job, and it works perfectly to choose whether you want to work remotely or from the office on other days. It is a clear advantage if you live in the region and can easily get to the office – at least on the days when the west coast does not deliver full storm, snow chaos, or public transport in an existential crisis.
Application
We only accept applications via the form on our website: https://www.nordblommedia.se/projektledare-reklamproducent-inom-radio-och-podd/ (https://www.nordblommedia.se/projektledare-reklamproducent-inom-radio-och-podd/)
For us to make an initial suitability selection, we ask you to, in addition to CV and cover letter, also include:
- A short video presentation (1–2 minutes)
But instead of the classic “tell us who you are” variant, we want to keep it simple and relaxed. In the video, it is enough if you just speak freely for a minute or two. A suggested angle could be:
Tell us what you want to be when you grow up.
It does not have to relate to your current job. It can be high, low, realistic, or completely unreasonable. Just talk freely about how it turned out instead – or if the dream still lives on in some unexpected way.
There are no right answers and no template to follow – we mostly want to get a sense of you as a person, not see a rehearsed performance. A simple mobile video is sufficient – we are more interested in your way of thinking and communicating than in image quality, light, or sound.
The video is only used in the selection process and is not shared externally. Attach your CV, cover letter, and link to your video via the form below to submit them along with your application.
Interviews are held continuously, so submit your application when it feels right.
Recruitment or ad sellers are kindly requested to refrain.
Open to all
We focus on your skills, not your other circumstances. We are open to adapting the role or workplace to your needs.
