Occupational Therapist in Municipal Health and Medical Care
Eksjö Municipality is a safe and vibrant community that welcomes everyone. Here, you will find both urban and rural areas with a rich history and a forward-looking spirit. Small entrepreneurs and large companies thrive here. The close-knit community offers opportunities for a meaningful leisure time. The municipality is one of the largest employers, and with your help, we want our residents to live a good life. We achieve this by collaborating, working sustainably, and utilizing your skills and engagement.
In our municipal health and medical care, we meet patients of all ages, both in ordinary housing and in special housing forms within elderly care, support for disabilities, and psychiatry. Our goal is for the patient to feel secure and live an independent life. We believe in proactive collaboration and work with continuous improvements. Here, you will find a safe and creative work environment where joy at work is important.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are now looking for an occupational therapist within municipal health and medical care. As an occupational therapist, you will make assessments and provide services in the patient's home as well as in special housing. This may involve ADL assessments, prescribing aids, and writing certificates for housing adaptations. You will guide nursing staff and ensure good contact with the patient's relatives. As an occupational therapist, you will work cross-professionally with physiotherapists, nurses, and nursing assistants, and you will also collaborate with case managers and other healthcare providers.
You will document in Combine and communicate in the care planning system Cosmic Link. It is an independent and varied job where you will largely plan your day yourself.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a licensed occupational therapist. Experience as an occupational therapist is an advantage but not a requirement. We believe you want to work with rehabilitation in a home environment. You always put the patient's needs at the center and enjoy working in a team. You treat others with respect and have a positive view of people. You are computer literate, curious, and enjoy working in a development-oriented way. As a person, you find it easy to collaborate, are solution-focused, structured, stress-resistant, flexible, and have a good ability for empathy. Personal suitability is highly valued.
A valid driver's license and good Swedish language skills are prerequisites for the position.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The position is a temporary contract for initially 12 months, starting on May 18, 2026, or by agreement.
